Elton John Spends His Birthday In South Africa For AIDS Awareness

Sir Elton John spent his 63rd birthday yesterday in South Africa to visit an HIV awareness center and check in on the status of his donations from his AIDS foundation.
He has donated $15 million from his charity for AIDS awareness projects in South Africa!

He has donated $15 million from his charity for AIDS awareness projects in South Africa!

Elton also spent part of the day just outside Cape Town with his partner David Furnish and some youths at the Football for Hope Center, set up by the Grassroots Soccer charity. He says:

"Soccer stars are the most powerful role models for young people today so it's fantastic that organizations like Grassroots Soccer are harnessing that power to educate young people about HIV. I can't think of a better way to celebrate my birthday."

Amazing!
