The Who's Pete Townshend may have to quit the band after the return of tinnitus, a painful ringing in the ears caused by noise-induced hearing loss!
Pete doesn't think The Who can continue on if his health doesn't improve saying, "If my hearing is going to be a problem, we're not delaying shows. We're finished. I can't really see any way around the issue."
The Who already canceled for both the Coachella and New Orleans Jazz Festivals, but Pete is meeting with a hearing specialist at the urging of Neil Young who also is dealing with tinnitus.
Pete was given an in-ear monitor which could prevent more damage and the band will be testing it out when they play on March 30 for the charity Teenage Cancer Trust.
